to over here to the family blog.
Susanlee (and all) I found LisaFreemontStreet to be a better vintage hair instructor than I'll ever be but I can't find these instructions on there (beware of pinups). Maybe I found it somewhere else, sooo...Off I go to look around. What a hard life.

Why the playpen wont work right now.
Miss B wants to be in there with him. I worry that she is going to fall on top of him. I could put her in there before him but then she'll climb out when she's done and fall on her noggin'. I love my little girl but she is NOT graceful. And he does go in the playpen but I have to be there, no telling what chaos Miss B will cause. I have learned to expect anything from her.
Sue, I have heard about Karlee, this is why we are nervous to put Sam on the floor and why I must keep an eye on him all the time. He is easier to keep an eye on, than Miss B, being that he doesn't move as fast, yet. But baby wearing has so many other benefits. Plus one of my favorite place in blog world, Eyes of Wonder has all these beautiful, smart, Calm children whom she wore. I love Jewel's photos.
Susan, yes, Miss B is a hoot. She has such an imagination. Last night, She built a wishing well on her bed. It was a small cup full of water. She was tossing a large token into.It was hard not to laugh, Unfortunately she shouldn't have open containers of water in there...not since she tied the cushions that should go into Sam's baby bed together into a rectangle and tried to fill it with water...a swimming pool you know.
well, God Bless,
Tiffany.

Miss B the Kitty Found My Candy Stash.
So chocolate doesn't hurt cats does it? Because our new kitten, Miss B, just had a lot. She is very talented, this cat. She opened the fridge, UN-wrapped the Dove dark chocolates and then ate several pieces. Then, to head off my anger, she rubs up against my leg and purrs "I am purring, Mommy." She used to be such a well-mannered cat...she ate at the table and used silverware...she didn't even make a mess. But this morning she has decided to be a bad cat. I even caught her, with her cereal bowl on the floor lapping it up like some normal cat. Not a special cat, with removable ears and opposable thumbs and something important to say. She also found some peppermint Christmas candy...from last year. Well, it should be an interesting afternoon...wild!
Sam is eating real food now; he really likes to sit up and eat out of a spoon. I guess I wasn't fast enough in making his mid-morning milk today. Sam got so angry at me that he got on his hands and knees and crawled off. I am praying he'll forget for a month or so. Give me time to convince Miss B that small stuff doesn't go on the floor and he doesn't need to taste the pennies before we count them into his piggy bank.
She is learning sharing and fractions by giving him half. She is also learning the difference in the coins and values.
I crocheted her a "tailor tot" last night. She has a collection of tater tots from Sonic. We must eat there WAY TO much. I need to start cooking more. I'll also have to start wearing Sam more to get things done. I need one of these Or one of these. I have several slings (which I have found hard on my mild scoliosis) and front-only carriers but I need to strap this big guy to my back. I could make one...easy. There is that whole not being able to let Miss B out of my sight for a second thing. Okay...the wrap is just a big long strip of fabric.....good idea!
Patrick took Sam photos last night, so start those reminder emails....NOW!
well God Bless,
Tiffany

Bedroom Redo
Bronte and Sam are going to share a room, until Patrick cleans out the office...so for a while. Maybe before Miss B's 10th b-day. So I've been thinking of how to decorate their shared room. Pink is really great for developing brains but there needs to some acknowledgment of Sam's Manliness. I am old fashioned that way and Sam gets very violent if you accidentally call him "pretty little girl" (I am still getting used to this whole boy thing). So this is what I was thinking, over at Reprodepot they have all these cute fabrics with vintage children on them. That way I could pass on my love of vintage. I also thought of the vintage wild west theme but am having trouble finding some cowgirls. Well, I am still getting ideas.
Patrick fixed the laptop finally so now I have my lovely blog lists. Yeah. I have found more in the mean time...trying to find my old ones. My favorite is Chronically Vintage.
Sam is still working on crawling; he does this inchworm thing that is remarkably fast and dangerous. Luckly both of his parents have been on the ball and have caught him before he tosses himself off the bed. He is also rolling, which is very useful for a 5 month old trying to escape a three year old sister trying to put a pink bib on him.
Bronte is having some deep thoughts lately. "Do aardvarks bark?" She has decided that yes they do but only at "wonder princesses." And reading isn't a good idea. "I want to be dumb...you know pretend...like Word Girl when she is Becky." I tried to inform her that even Becky can read. I am not worried at all, she is only three. I know that Patrick was 3.5. But is there some reason to rush her?

First time he blogs in ages, and it's political. What's the world coming to?

Trying to get a Sam Video.
He crawls...well, on his face, really well. He can sit up by himself...for a whole half of a second. He says "hi." And he laughs hysterically at his sister who he loves to hug.
Miss B keeps me busy by proving what a lazy parent I've been up to this point. Mostly by not minding and sticking foreign objects (china?) in her mouth. She hit Sam in the head with her plastic mop. He thought this was very funny. I have decided she needs more more structure. We, her parents, may have used our Bohemian/ artsy leanings as an excuse for messing with the structure (ie. Schedule) we had in place...You know when she behaved well. Now we have one of "THOSE" kids, But She is very cute so she gets away with more.
I caught a cold visiting my grandmother in the hospital. My grandfather, her husband, died at the end of September. She has emphysema and got pneumonia this last week. She is doing better and has been transferred to a rest home, to finish recovery. Prayers are needed. She was so sure she would go first and doesn't seem to know what to do with herself now.
Well, that is all for now, I will continue trying to get Sam's sillies on film.
God bless,
Tiffany
