Site stats

Not too long ago, I went and got myself a different site counter, both here on my blog and over on my family's web page. My old one didn't really offer me some of the stats I wanted, so I found one that did a little more. I'm discovering that this is kind of fun, seeing where people are reaching me from.
The bulk of them, of course, are from Amarillo and the immediate area; that's where most of my family and friends are, and they're constantly logging on to see if I've posted new pics of Brontë yet. (There will be some more tonight; it's her 9-month birthday, and I take pictures on occasions such as that.) Lord knows it's not for my scintillating prose (of which there hasn't been an abundance of late, either, to be fair).
Some of them are old net.friends that I've had forever, who've finally found me again or who never really lost touch with me.
I'm not always sure how I get hits from Denmark and France and New Zealand, though. I do think it's kind of neat, however, that for whatever reason I've got a worldwide audience, even if it is a tiny one.
Just for S&G value, here's a list of states/provinces and countries that have hit my blog and my family site over the last few days:
  • Blog: Texas, North Carolina, Utah, Virginia, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ontario, Aquitane (France), Michigan, Alberta, Mangere (New Zealand), Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, United Kingdom, Hawaii, and Oklahoma.

  • Family Site: Texas, New York, Virginia, Oost-Vlaanderen (Belgium), Sao Paolo (Brazil), Nordjylland (Denmark), Quebec, Georgia, Ohio, and United Kingdom.

A lot of the family site hits are just me or Tiffany opening our web browsers, since we've both got our home pages set there. I'm going to change mine, I think, to stop artificially pumping up the stats and filling them with a lot of relatively useless data. Or maybe I'll figure out how to make the stats site not accept hits from my PC or Tiff's.
Oh, yeah, that reminds me, I need to get a pic of Tiff's new PC up. It wouldn't be too remarkable, except for being pink. Really pink. I'll get a shot up when I get home this evening.

Actually, m'dear, it shows your ISP as being in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, even though I know you're elsewhere. Which is kinda weird....

Hum... maybe that's the work ISP? Go figure.

I will admit to looking for CT in the list though :)
