Yes, that is the middle name. Patrick is an Edward. So was his Dad and grandfather.
Bronte's middle name is a family name from my side.
Susan, I agree that Mr. Darcy can make one a bit unhappy with modern day men. I don't think that I have come across ANY modern novel that is any better and most are worse. But would we really want a book that was entirely accurate? I don't know about you but reading about some guys smelly socks or linty belly button wouldn't appeal at all to readers!
Just my 2 cents. I, myself am boycotting any novel that was written after 1945.

A little funny story about Edward. When Kelly was born, we never came up with a middle name. Patrick(27 mos) knew he was Patrick Edward, and his dad was Leo Edward, so naturally, he thought she was Kelly Edward and I was Momma Edward. Now that's logic.
Edward. I always think that's a really nice name. As for literature, I'm not looking for realism exactly...I mean, seriously I'm a huge fan of fairy tales, but my mental state recently has been a bit dark so I'd like a bit more tragedy with my romance. I'm currently reading essays by Albert Camus. (Ah MAY zing!) Perhaps that will pull me back up to happy. If not, there's always Anna Karenina.
What's wrong with Nugget Edward?
Suggestions for Bible names: Benjamin, Joel, and Thaddeus.
Are we making any progress with a first name?
