We have decided on a middle name that is both a family name and a literary name. So that means the first name is Biblical. Miss B's Name is Literary then family/Biblical.
His Middle name is one of the male characters in Sense and Sensibility. Can you guess? No, Not P&P. I couldn't convince Patrick that he had a heritage of the name Fitzwilliam (sigh).
So now we are taking Biblical names. We are thinking of just putting the names we like in a bowl and letting Miss B pull one out. It is somewhat a family tradition. I pulled my sister's name out of a hat. Patrick and I also pulled Miss B's name out of a bowl. Yes, it is corny but it works. Plus it takes the blame off all involved and puts the naming back in GOD's hands. He knows this baby better than we do. He sure knew that Miss B's name would fit her better than any other we could think of.
So we are taking Biblical names...we already have several we like but we aren't sure we have the "one." We might even make a contest out of it...Oh I don't know If Miss B pulls your suggestion out of the bowl we will mail you this fabulous furry...feline. Okay, so not The Cat but something...do you want the cat, we'll talk. And someday when one of us remembers to mail it to you...hopefully before the naming of our next child (GOD willing)...Susan I found your wedding gift by the way...You probably don't need any of it now...yeah, we are on the ball here at Casa de Goodman.
I am going Now.
GOD Bless Ya'll,
Tiffany

I'm partial to Biblical "J" names myself. Here are my suggestions:
James, Jeremiah, Jonah
Is it Willoughby? Oh GOD I hope it's Willoughby!! As for Biblical middle names, my favorite male in the Bible is Jacob. I love the story of Jacob,Leah and Rachel. I think a more appealing name though, is Judah. And I agree with Annabel that Jonah is great.
Susan,
No, not Willoughby. That would have been a very intresting name tho. It might have gotten a simular(sp?) reaction as Bronte did.
I am thinking of starting a list on the side bar to keep tract of the Bible names. My Mother-in-Law wants to claim ASA.

This is going to drive me insane. I've started re-reading Sense and Sensibility, despite my Jane Austen ban because of you! Henry? Robert? Edward? John? Palmer? Grey (oooh Grey!)? Dashwood? You MUST post a list of submissions. This is so fun, and I've been very depressed, so thanks for making me feel better.
Susan.
PS I think Bronte is a great name.
okay here's my two cents. I, too, like the name Jonah. I also like the names Malachi, Micah, Elijah, Josiah, Noah, and Jericho
It's Edward, isn't it?
