Spent a good chunk of it trying to improve my personal networking, to improve my chances of getting a new job.
That wasn't what made the day special, though. That honor was taken by my son walking on his own without benefit of handholds. It was just a couple of steps at first, but he got the hang of it quickly enough and seemed to enjoy that he was doing it...almost as much as Mommy and Daddy were enjoying watching him. He quickly decided it was pretty cool, and has covered a not-insignificant portion of the house today, as if making up for lost time.

How great! Watch this fleeting milestone as much as you can! There are so many messages in our first steps - a picture of our essential dependence on the King.
