Not Much...But Enough.

So I got offered a more stable position at my job. I will now work early Saturday and Sunday which will allow me to keep the kids home with me and home school them. We'll be late church goers, but oh well, this too is temporary. I am also hoping to take a class on-line this summer.

Sam has been teething on people this week. It has been painful for both him and I.

Miss B has had a cough...Maybe she is just doing a very convincing fake one (sometimes not so convincing.)

I am reading the Nancy Drew Stories. Not, unfortunately, the originals. The library only had the 1960's versions of the originals. They are okay and I must say Nancy Drew is my hero. She knows first aid, auto mechanics, horse back riding, and skin diving. I am only on book #9, The Sign of The Twisted Candle. So I am sure the list of her accomplishments will become a lot more daunting. I am sure tidiness is some kind of key to being so accomplished. Just something else to add to her list. I wish I would have read them when I was much younger.

I have just seen the Nancy Drew Movie (2007) as well. Nancy is my favorite character, of course. I loved the the lunchroom scene with her pink gingham lunch accessories and cute little cupcake. So far many things from the movie haven't matched up with these books. I don't think it makes it any less fun. That being said the movie (much like the books) wasn't brilliant, it was very cute. If your movies have to be brilliant (I feel sorry for you! What fun movies you've missed.), then this movie isn't for you.

Wait! What ever happened to A Portrait of Dorian Grey? Well, first, my kids lost it. Then I found it and now it is a very hard cushion on which I gently place Nancy Drew. As soon as I make it through the 56 "original" books I'll finish it...or it will find it's way back to the library.

GOD is love,
Tiff.

This is going to do you good, in lots of ways. You need away from the kids now and then. Pat certainly needs some one on one with the kids, now and then. Plus, it leaves the time that you need to follow your plan to home school the kids. All that, and it probably pays the rent, too. Yaaah Tiff!
