We suspect that Miss B. is having a growth spurt, at least we hope so, she is very clumsy of late. This week she has rolled off the sofa and walked into a wall. Yesterday was the worse. She walked into the car door as I was opening it. She didn't even cry just whimpered and rubbed her eye. She wanted me to kiss and make it better. We went out to eat. And she fell out of the booth because she was sitting not so still (like 2 year olds are prone to do). She hit her jaw on the way down. I guess she bit her tongue because when I offered to kiss her chin she stuck out her tongue and made me kiss that. Then she wanted to sit by daddy at the restaurant and coming back up on my side she bumped the top of her head. Yes, I kissed her head.
I went to our friend, Megan's Premier Party. Patrick took Bronte to visit Grammy. He says she hit her head again. We headed home after the party and put my poor sweet clumsy child in her nice safe playpen. Or so we thought...Bronte got her arm on a piece of loose plastic cutting a 3 inch scratch up the back of her arm. I kissed near it because it was free bleeding. She has a gauze bandage on it. I am wondering if a bubble wrap suit and bicycle helmet would be an uncalled for response?
Out of the mouth of the Babe: "Y U H O N."Baby pointing to each letter as she says it. Mommy Pointing at what B calls a H, "That's a K, Baby." "It is just shaped funny" Added Daddy. "Yuu oo...HUhuhu AHHHH nnnnn. Yuhon." Parent both startled that their 2 and half year old just sounded out a word with out help. Even if she doesn't listen to us about the h being a k, we are very proud.
