The War Romance of the Salvation Army (with Evangeline Booth)-Contrary to what the title suggests to modern readers, this book is about the "War Adventure" of the Salvation Army. It's not a love story as you might suppose, but a real-life retelling of the work of the Salvation Lassies in World War I. Their fearlessness and dedication while serving on the battle lines is astounding. This is a long read, but well worth it if you stick with it. It helps if you've done your homework on WWI before you begin. Grace assumes you know what it was all about. Readers of the era had just lived through it, so many references will be unfamiliar to modern readers.
Where Two Ways Met
The White Flower
The White Lady
White Orchids (read The Strange Proposal next)
