Garden

We have been blessed. Our garden is producing some nice produce. So far we have had 2 heads of broccoli. Two more are going to be harvested today. There has been about a cup of basil. I figured out that the more I harvest, the happier the basil is.
I pulled 2 green beans on Monday. And a couple of handfuls of mint and cherries. It looks like my Zucchini might start producing soon, we have had A LOT of blooms. There is one jalapeno pepper but I may need to move it. I read somewhere that it will make everything near it pica (hot spice). Pica yellow neck squash doesn't sound too bad (odd maybe) but then I am 7th generation Texan and I like things with heat.

The kids are fine. Sam has been practicing his tantrums (doozies!), and we've been working with Miss B about not lying when she is crying. She has been doing better but still needs some work. Miss B has also been reading. My sister gave her some first grade (?) Saxon readers. She will sit still to read one but doesn't want to do formal lessons. I'll take it. I signed her up for the reading program at the library. She defaced one of the posters. I have been keeping track on a different one.
