Birthday forgotten

Even at my advanced age I enjoy having my family call and wish me happy birthday. My mother called, I guess my birth was traumatic enough for her to not forget. But my memaw and sister haven't called and I am a bit confused and hurt. I guess when one reaches 120, one is lucky enough to get any phone calls. I even talked to my memaw on the phone today and nothing...She did find a perfume bottle with a clock in it....Yes, that is right. Not a typo. She is going to give it to me, just because...Um,Thanks? Well it sounds tacky so I'll love it. Would it be wrong to call them and wish them happy birthday? Oh wait, I did, but silly me I did it on the day of theirs. I am being silly, and will continue to call them on their real Birthday. But I will pout at least until Monday night. Then I am going to forget about it. I mean really I am lucky to have them. Also, it is nice to know that I am not the most forgetful person in my family.
Thank You Patrick for my presents. He gave me A&E Pride and Prejudice, Took me to eat at Texas Roadhouse, and the let me talk him in to a book for the baby and Happy Hooker for me. So it was a good birthday!

Happy birthday to me.

I hate September...And not because I get old on the 30th. TODAY! This September has been not much better than the last 7..Or is it 8 years???? Anyway it hasn't been any worse either. At one time I was going to blog about WHY I hate September, I don't remember if I did and now I have very little desire to do so. Maybe I should..Might help my post traumatic stress syndrome, a diagnosis, which at one time I didn't really feel was accurate but now makes a lot of sense. I try not to focus on it and for 11 months out of a year is just everyday normal. But come September the gray fog fades in slowly enveloping my mind and personality in dense suffocating coldness. I would sleep all day, if I could. I should try to stay busy but I can't seem to get enough energy. Babycakes has helped a lot, keeping her from doing herself serious damage is a VERY absorbing distraction. "No Baby, Spit that out, What IS THAT????" "No Baby, kitty tastes nasty, be gentle with kitty!" "No Baby, come back here!...Mommy needs a nap, can I have a nap?" She is very fast and funny. The Joy of watching her grow has been very healing. I haven't been able to let her crawl around much lately so she has spent a lot of time in the playpen throwing her toys over the side. But soon the gray fog will roll out and I will be alive again. Baby and I also have Colds...blah! September is almost over, Happy birthday to me! This year I feel like a very beat up 120.

Happy 9 month Birthday, BabyCakes!

This is the first blog entry on my new pink computer! My hubby made it...He is very talented!
It has been a while since last I wrote. Sorry. No excuses.
I have been cleaning house, reading, letting Babycakes crawl everywhere, hating my clothes, gaining 3 and 1/2 pounds, being put on a stricter diet by my cardiologist...Low-fat vegetarian diet. That is all I think.
We put all of our unpacked boxes in the garage (that is where our neighbors store theirs) and surprise, surprise, our house is clean. So now Babycakes has whole areas where she can go without me worrying that she is going to pull my pregnancy clothes on top her head. I still watch her closely of course, She likes to eat paper. Speaking of which she tried to eat a book at Barnes and Noble. "Being Dead is No Excuse, The Official Southern Ladies Guide to Hosting The Perfect Funeral." So now that book is in my library. I have a thing for books about the south and southern ladies. I was planning on looking at the book...Not buying it, at least not till I am older.
I am not a southern lady...I wish I were. I have horrible manners and beat my self about it all of the time. I do not have things together. I lost the list of names to write thank you notes for Babycakes baby presents and shower..There I admit it. I have NO idea who to write thank cards. I feel awful about it because that was A long time ago, and all of the gifts have been so helpful. There where some items that were dropped off at the hospital...I was on so much pain medicine that for all I know they came with the baby. If you gave a gift or know of someone, drop me a line and I will get a thank you card in the mail. Please help, I want to do better!
okay, after such a rambling post, please be on the look out for BabyCakes birthday photo on Patrick's blog.
