reasonings

Patrick says maybe I need to explain the whys for the washer nuttiness. So I will, I don't know that I can explain the cup issue beyond it just looks prettier. But the silverware is my big pet peeve. Okay here goes, If the knives touch the other cutlery eventually it roughs up the edges, leaving jagged pieces. This doesn't feel real good when used. The knives with the handles are made with different metal than the silver and will eventually dull as well as nick the silver knives and themselves.
The spoons will not get clean when they "spoon" together, with a folk in between the water can get in and clean.
Hope that explains in such a way that I sound kinda mildly nutty and not evil control freak nutty. And hopefully all those sympathy cards to my dear sweet hubby will stop....Mom.

monk vs. dishwasher

hello everybody, my name is Tiffany, and I have O.C.D,
Now most of my reader(s) have been hinted to of my Monk like quirks. But rarely have I gone into detail. Today I feel like sharing. Today I am sharing, in detail, my dishwasher obsessions. I am not sure I have even told Patrick of these...If I have, well...grrrrrr!
silverware: knives are not allowed to touch forks or spoons. "Silver" knives are not allowed to touch any knife with a covered handle or "teeth"
Spoons are not allowed to touch other spoons and of course knives. in each basket the order must be spoon, fork, spoon until all of the silverware are in the basket.
large knives and other utensils go top shelf and may touch each other except the knives. The knives can't touch each other at all up here. If say the slotted spoon and serving spoon are both dirty they can't touch either.
Cups: We have plastic rainbow colored cups. we have a lot of yellows. I can't have 2 yellows in a row unless that is all that is dirty. I am a little more relaxed with the rest of the dishes unless they don't look right. Then I may reorganize. or I may ignore depending on the time spent with the above exercise. I try very hard to ignore
the fact that Patrick doesn't follow the silverware rule because I am very grateful he is doing the dishes and not making me get my hands dirty which is a whole compulsion all it's own.!!! He is a very good hubby! Now off I go to do the dishes.

homemaking

A homemakers job is never done. And honestly I am not good at it. I would rather daydream or spin around in circles to ABBA. But I HATE dishes piled up in the sink and I hate Mt. Washmore. Some homemakers get a thrill over doing things around the house, you'll find there blogs all over this here Internet. This of course isn't one of those. I've tried schedules, and they don't really work for me. A loose one I am okay with but you can't really schedule pulling rose petals off. "Mutilate rose bush for 3.5 minutes at 2:08 pm" sure I could schedule Playtime at 2:00 but what if I feel like defacing the rose bush at say 11:oo am? To do list I am better with as long as the list is short. I really can only spend 30 minutes doing house cleaning or I get grumpy...the rest of the time is baby or me time. I have been doing a lot a reading and no art execpt daydreaming. That is going to change. I may add 15 more minutes to my now 15 minute cleaning schedule, but I am going to do more art so that means only about one book a week instead of 7.
I think reading to many books is starting to affect me anyway. I stop reading at the half way point. Plus the books I read aren't making me think or feel. So I am going to try to read real novels not modern dime store post, at least for a while.
I am not going to call my self a homemaker anymore, I am honestly a stay at home mom and artist.
Well , off I go to conqour Mt. Washmore, my husband say someone at work said he was a slob. Even though has says it is his fault I can't help to feel it is mine...Am I suppose to Iron the polo shirts and do they get starch (love the smell of starch) and creases? How are the well groomed wearing them...anybody know?

Happy New Year!

Hello All,
I hope everybody has had a wonderful new year so far! Mine has been uneventful, just like I like it!
I want to do some changes around this blog. I am considering a new blog name, Maybe a contest or something. So please bare with me while I get re-started. I would love some reader interaction, So if there are any suggestion on the blog name. I want something feminine and poetic.
I have several lifestyle changes I have to make as well. My eating habits are awful. The only exercise I get is "Baby Boogie." And my house cleaning is sporadic,I am a binger, I clean everything all at once then I don't do anything until I absolutely have to. I am also going to be working on decorating my house, starting to wear an all skirt/dress wardrobe. And everything must be done on a shoestring budget because I am no longer going to be selling Avon.
God Bless,
Tiffany

Happy 9 month Birthday, BabyCakes!

This is the first blog entry on my new pink computer! My hubby made it...He is very talented!
It has been a while since last I wrote. Sorry. No excuses.
I have been cleaning house, reading, letting Babycakes crawl everywhere, hating my clothes, gaining 3 and 1/2 pounds, being put on a stricter diet by my cardiologist...Low-fat vegetarian diet. That is all I think.
We put all of our unpacked boxes in the garage (that is where our neighbors store theirs) and surprise, surprise, our house is clean. So now Babycakes has whole areas where she can go without me worrying that she is going to pull my pregnancy clothes on top her head. I still watch her closely of course, She likes to eat paper. Speaking of which she tried to eat a book at Barnes and Noble. "Being Dead is No Excuse, The Official Southern Ladies Guide to Hosting The Perfect Funeral." So now that book is in my library. I have a thing for books about the south and southern ladies. I was planning on looking at the book...Not buying it, at least not till I am older.
I am not a southern lady...I wish I were. I have horrible manners and beat my self about it all of the time. I do not have things together. I lost the list of names to write thank you notes for Babycakes baby presents and shower..There I admit it. I have NO idea who to write thank cards. I feel awful about it because that was A long time ago, and all of the gifts have been so helpful. There where some items that were dropped off at the hospital...I was on so much pain medicine that for all I know they came with the baby. If you gave a gift or know of someone, drop me a line and I will get a thank you card in the mail. Please help, I want to do better!
okay, after such a rambling post, please be on the look out for BabyCakes birthday photo on Patrick's blog.

Wednesday

On the schedule today: Finish 101 things in 1001 days list.
Find and post recipe for Jennifer's Meme.
conquer Mt. Washmore.
straighten Baby's room and take photo, post photo here to see if people have any cheap ideas to snaz it up. Baby's room is also sewing room until Patrick gets the office organized.

Okay my horrible terrible week is over. They didn't find anything wrong with my heart but they haven't take blood work yet. I have 3 weeks to get that done, they have taken me off potassium until they look at the blood work. I am glad nothing showed up wrong with my heart but am hoping something shows up on my blood work just so I don't feel like an idiot! I know something isn't right, but am not sure they believed me. At least with blood work it is a fairly easy fix.
And I have no reason to believe after all these years that suddenly it will come out perfect. Never has before, once I even was told I needed to eat more salt! I just want answers, you know besides "we want you to go see a therapist?" I am told that instead of continued looking "they" assume "they" can't be mistaken and there for "you" are nuts. Well, that's all for now.

Yesterday was a Ginseng Day.

Okay, I am not going to go in to details about the rest of yesterday because I don't remember half of it. No Ginseng didn't cause black outs. It made me Hyper. If ever I need to stay up 24 hours, 2 well taken ginseng tablets are my goto. I finally made it to sleep about 5. I had to force my self. At 11:30pm I fed the baby, read my Bible, turned the side table light out. And dozed, at 1:33am I woke with a pounding heart...Like I had when I was pregnant, And this incredible urge to do something crafty. I took 2 Ginseng yesterday. One at breakfast and one at 1:30pm. The bottle says 4 daily...Do you know what that would do to me? I would be in cardiac care or on a cross country drive to some craft show in Ontario. Today is going to be a NO ginseng day. I am just going to decrease my sugar intake...I was going to try coffee therapy but after drinking tea for the last month...Coffee is Very bitter...But maybe later.

My day.

Once the baby wakes this may be updated once an hour or more. Last night, after the third time I was startled awake, I came to the conclusion as to why I have very little energy. It seems the people in my room are very NOISY. Babycakes, whose crib is still in our room does this hyserical laughing thing, that for some reason sounds like she is having trouble breathing. And my sweet charming husband, snores like a freight train with emphysema! He'll turn one way peace and quiet, then he moves and I jump awake! Then he has been having "dreams." Tonight I am taking some tylonal pm or some thing, maybe it will numb my startle gene! I have started taking ginseng for my ADD behavior...I'll tell you how it works.

I am awake...Baby cakes is not.
I have boiled water for my tea...It is brewing.
I have checked my email.
