Another milestone

If you're sick of reading about my little girl, just stop here. If you're not, you're in the right place.

Brontë's been walking whilst holding our hands for some time now, getting a feel for it. We've suspected that she can do it on her own for a while, and think we've seen her take an unassisted step here or there before.

Today, however, she took off several different times and for more than just a single step. She walked several steps to pick up one of her toys, and then walked back to her mother. Later, she walked to me, then to the front door (about eight feet from where I was). We've been stressing about this for a while, so now that it's happened we're both extremely proud, and I for one am nervous.

But my baby's walking on her own, so that's all that matters right now.

My dad always said (and I tend to agree with him), "You spend the first two years teaching them to walk and talk and the rest of their lives telling them to sit down and shut up." ;)

Congrats!
